How much do u drive?
i have had my car since the end of July this past year, a 03 TLS Silver w/ nav, and i just hit 11k, i just had my oil changed at 8k three weeks ago, and the little sticker that they put on said see u 11/20 for ur 11k oil change, i hit it a month faster then i was supposed to, i sell real estate and promote clubs, how about u guys, how much do u drive, ive seen ppl say they just hit 8k after 9 month of ownership, it doesnt seem like i drive that much, just every day stuff for work and personal ****, but the miles are rackign up???

How often you cange your oil depends on how you drive your car. Miles themselves are not the only indicator. If you put on a lot of highway miles, then your oil will be cleaner than if you did those same miles in stop and go city driving. If your car sits a lot and you put very few miles on your car then you need to change it say every six months even if you only drove 1k miles.
I have 50K in 16 months, everyone is different

I picked mine up august 1st also and I put about 5k on it so far. I do 90% highway miles. Changed my oil at 2k and 4k and going to change it at 6k. Then ever 4k with synthetic. Been using Mobil 5w 30 and Mobil 1 oil filters.

I have 7,400 miles in 10 months! AND this included one month of commuting 50 miles/day round trip while our house was being finished. For me: saving gas money=spending mod money

you guys should buy crappy cars for work you know.. And keep the TL in the garage for when you go to movies, parties, pleasure driving, racing etc... Like especially if you take your car to work and you have to park on the road..

I walk to work but I LOVE to get in it on the weekend. It is good in this way. I have put so much (time and $$$) into this car. I can enjoy it for a long without worries of mileage or time pressuring me to get a new one

Wow, you guys on the mainland sure drive a lot. I've had my '03 TL-S since August and I'm just about to hit 900 miles. I drive my car everyday for work and for cruising. I guess cruising here (in Hawaii) is nothing compared to you guys. The average yearly mileage here is about 10 to 12k.

I hate people who baby thier cars and never want to take it out because they are concerned about racking mileages. I know people with S classes and 5 series who drive thier car everywhere at anytime. My point too why have the car if you can't enjoy it everyday. BTW, 70k miles on my 1999 Av6. 95% highway. Mobil One synthetic oil only. Runs better than my cousins 2000 Av6 and he has 35k mi on it..city driving.

I have a 03' TL-S and I bought it just this late June, and till this date I have 4200 miles on it. I was really conservative about putting mileage on my baby, but like the other guys had said. I mean you mightest well drive your car. There will always be a new car coming out, so you mightest well enjoy our babies. Don't worry about mileage wise guys, just enjoy the luxury/sport sedan we bought. Not that many people can afford to buy our cars. So drive as often as you want to man. Now I'm cruising my baby everywhere! :p

dont get me wrong, she goes everywere i go, but it will be messed up if my warranty expires in a year u know, i want to get the 04 when it comes out, but the amount of miles that i would have on the car at that point would devalue so much ......

Wow, your car ain't even broken in yet! I have 10.5k in about 8 months. I only have a 3-4 mile commute to work but I drive from Boston to NYC about once a month and occasionally NH or CT. Not to mention I sometimes just go drive for sh!ts and giggles.
