like the title says... how much $$? and how often? do you guys take it to the dealer?

I take it whenever the dealer sents me a maintance reminder post card. Its usually every three months. However i get all my service for free, at least for two years. It was part of my deal with them.

I have had my 2000 TL service done only at dealer except tires,rotation & alignment done at NTB. I had the car since 12/28/99 & have low mileage just over 15,000 miles.The 1st oil change was free & I did that at 1,300 miles because of the type or short distance city driving I did then. I have the oil changed about every 3months as I have done with all my new Hondas in the last 21yrs. The 2nd A service oil change cost me $22.00 I had about 3,000 miles on the car. The 3rd A&B service I had done at about 6,000 was my 7,500 mile service interval. This service cost me $60.00 the 4th A service was basic oil change $22.00. The 5th service I did was another A service oil change $22.00 at around 11,000 miles. The 6th service that was done 2 weeks ago was 15K major service I had only 15,105 miles my 19 month old car.
This is A,B,C service shedule. This is checks of exhaust, brake system including ABS parking brake adjustment, fuel lines idle controls, all fluids checked,oil change,hoses, ect. My dealer has its own maintenance schedule book & at this service they do a little more. I go by the owners manual & the dealers so at 15K I had a few extra things done. This made the service cost more but I go by the months for things to be service not miles. I had my air cleaner element replaced instead of cleaned. I also had the 2 A/C Filters replaced at this service. I did this because the care is nearing 2ys & owners manual says replace if you live in urban area. This 15K service cost me $289.00 so if you take away the cost of the 2 A/C filters & Air cleaner it should have been $160.00
The A/C Filters cost about $26.00 & the labor to install them was over $70.00 the air cleaner is $27.00.
