How many A-SPEC owners are on here?
Guys please dont start the "search" hate on me, just trying to get to the 5 post mark / 15 days.
So, who here owns an A-Spec? I know there is only 800 of them.

Good call on the posting of pics. It'd be cool too if they posted their number in the production line too! My 96 del Sol was the 5th in Canada
OP, in the Photography section there are two members that just recently posted threads of their Aspecs (thelastaspec and kbye), but we'll wait for them to chime in. I'm reppin TLP lol
...go post in their thread to make them aware of yours :P

Yes,
I also have "drugdealer" rims for my car.
There are 3 2003 A Spec's where I live, ones stock, owner golfs, other is modded, trying to talk to owner, saw in traffic, we both knew we had A Specs...
Maybe one more or two in my city/town.

thelastaspec: I find it odd that the doors and seats don't match your steering wheel and shifter. Did the previous owner change the leather?

Nothing's been changed and it was like that originally.
I know the owner of the dealership and he remembers it came off the truck like that...
I even have the window sticker from when the car is new.
The manufacture date was late 2003.
Everyone's guess is that it was one of the last black's off the line - and they used gray leather instead of blue.
It does look really nice on the doors with the brushed aluminum/silver and its a unique thing about the car!

Ironic, isn't it? Dealers could have posted those A-spec specific parts on eBay and made a profit ...

My friends parents had navi.
Usually honda divides the DVD's that up so you get all of NA.
Aunts RDX came with a second set of disks for lower states.
I understood it's always been like that...

currently all its used for is the climate controls and the navi does and doesn't work, yes in the US but not in Canada. i'm considering getting the mod to play videos or i just might retro fit an ipad in...
I only put this in my car knowingly i'd prally be the only A-Spec with this and same with all my other goodies... It was a pain to install as i had to make all the wiring harnesses for it. Ran me about $800 3-4yrs ago + wires + soddering tools + patience. I've seen some navi conversions going as cheap as $200-$1000

it's true they had some Canadian maps but i would say about 2% of all the roads which is pretty much nothing and is useless to us. I've contacted alpine directly in the US and in Canada who are the manufacturers of our OEM POS navi system and the "brain" they used has been discontinued after our cars and none of the DVDs for the newer models works for our navi systems. Alpine specifically said they will not be making any new DVDs to be compatible with our navi as all the newer systems use a different "brain"

Thanks man!
The interesting thing is that the seats and everything still have blue stitching, just like the blue seats.
I know the dealer owner that it was bought from, it apparently came from the factory like that!
I love the gray leather!

Your friend's parents had canadian navi on their 2G TL? Canadian cars never had navi as an option... and as I understand, navi discs for other cars won't work on the 2G TL.

I saw a blue one locally in Medford, Oregon. It had Canada Plates, it was awesome seeing one in person. Unfortunatly it was while i was drivng, and they turned so i didnt get a great look, was most definatly an A-Spec though. Older man driving it

just bought it about a month ago, love it so far... tranny seems a little off though, kind of vibrates while shifting from 1st to 2nd, already had the front motor mount replaced... anyone else had this problem? also rpm's kind of jump around while doing 65km/hr
