How many people have owned 3 2nd generation Acuras?
Last 2 were totaled. Tree fell on one and a guy pulled out in a pickup truck and totaled the 2nd. 99 TL Heather Mist, 03 Type S Silver. Now a 2003 White TL-S. With 132,000 on it.

Pretty unlucky with the first two- hopefully the third time is the winner 
I bought an 02 type-S that was 1 year old and was certified preowned. Had it about 2 years and sold it. Owned a 99 TL for a couple of years and sold it to a friend of mine. Also bought a 99 for my mother in law. Bought my current 02 type-S 2.5 years ago.
I do currently also have three other 2nd gen Acuras but they are Legends

Yeah, the 2nd Gen TL's are a bargain, buy another for parts. Good Luck !!!

Here's #3. Don't like the white but it was in good shape and the right price. 132,000 miles. Was able to switch out a few things off the totaled one before they towed it away.
1. Lift struts for the hood.
2. Upper motor mount. It fail/started leaking on the new car 1 day after I bought it.
3. One rim was scratched on the new car so switched the tire and rim off the old car.
4. Radio CD player didn't work. So I exchanged the radio's. What a hassle! I hooked up an MP3 player hookup so I had knowledge as to how to remove the radio. Still a hassle.
5. Switched the K and N air filter.
6. I took several clips etc. from the bumpers, screws from the center console that always come loose and a few other things off the old car.
7. One chrome tail pipe and the lift jack.
