How long will my HID ballast hold a charge???
I just replace my driver side headlamp assembly including the ballast and ignitor. Now I want to change my passenger side hid bulb, but I'm worried that I might get shocked?
If I disconnect the battery will that be good enuff or will I need to wait for some length of time before I can just swap the bulb???
I've looked all over the forum for a good diy, but none of them seem to fully address this situation. Some say wait 8 hours. Some it just shows the pic of the high voltage cap being removed and swapping the bulb with no worried.
When I was installing the new ballast I didn't have to worry about it holding any charge, but with the existing one I'm worried. Please help I need to get this bulb swapped sometime 2morrow. Thanx in advance.

As long as you have not turned on the lights to test the new side- there is no more charge sitting in the capacitor
1 hour is usally sufficient time for them to bleed down
Its no joke- juice kills!!!!!
