I got my baby in Jan 02. It has 15k miles now.

What color is your tranny fluid ? So far I don't have any problem but the fluid has turned brownish already.

Mine is a '03 with 13k no prob what so ever with the tranny. otherwise...bubbles on the heated seats, sun roof rattle, fog lamp condensation, and a lil vibration from the woofer.

02 TLS, purchased November 01 Tranny went at 17,000 in January, 03.

The car is at the dealer as I write. The tranny started slipping and lurched once and then I took it straight to the dealer. They had it for a few days before they even looked at it. They put me in a loaner which I upgraded for $10 a day. Hopefully they will absorb my upgrade fee.

I hope to get the car back this week, if I am lucky.

2000TL 30,400 miles 3yrs old purchased 12/28/99.
Dealer serviced all the time Trans Fluid changed at 22,500 miles as 30,000 mile service interval done at that time. The car still drives like new.

Tranny died in December, 2001 at 22,000 miles. Since then, the replacement has been fully functional. So that makes about 28,000 miles with no problems.

Unhappy

I have got 24,650 miles (bought in Mar 2001) and my tranny is just now starting to act up. It is shifting erratically, sometimes harshly, holds lower gears too long and clunks when accelerating rapidly. It's going to the dealer Saturday.
