Hey it about that time to replace my tires on my 2003 TL-S before the winter storms come around. I have about 2 months of tread life left on these 17 TL-S wheels and tires. I am looking to upgrade to the 18"x8" Platinum (Aka Gunmeatal Aka Ebony) chrome A-Spec wheels. I believe that the 8" will fit fine with out a drop and the 8.5" require a substantial drop and require to pull them in becuase of the ofset. Is this correct? I hope to go as wide as I can with a 245/40/18. In the future I plan to add H&R Sport Lowering spring (50103) along with shocks to match but have not decided on which yet, any suggestions? Well I'm out here in Sacramento, CA and our rainy months arent to harsh yet can last up to 6 months of the year so I hoping to find all weather tires in that 245 size (maybe directionals..like the piolts??). Well theres this guy out here in San Jose whos selling these 18x8 platinum rims NIB for $801 for the set!

I wanted your fellow opinons on the legitimacy on the authenticity of these rims. It's a killer deal and I'm ready to jump on these now, what do you think?

Definitely legit. As for the difference in rim width and tire size for the 8s they should fit with those tires. Only thing I have to say is it might look a little awkward without a drop on the 18s since you'll be sitting at stock height with them from what I gathered in your post, at least for now. I'm from Sacramento too well elk grove so I know how the winters are here too so I wouldn't be too worried about harsh weather. Sounds like you've got a plan for tires too so Id say your set to go if you decide to pick those up, good luck!
