How do u other TLer's do against Teg GSR's?
I raced my friends OBD 1 Integra GSR w/intake and exhaust. Without spraying I am almost even with his Teg from a dead stop. Spraying from a roll however gives me a 1.5 to 2 car length lead. I know GSR's are pretty quick but should we be afraid of them?

I had a 2000 GSR 4 door with an AEM CAI before I got my TL-S. There is no way in hell my old teg could beat my stock TL-S.

Hey.....with all those mods, you afraid of GSR????
We shouldn't be afraid of GSR at all!!!
Even though he has intake & exhaust...so what? You do have better mods than he does..... Do not be afraid...

actually, I had my CL-S with light rims and every power mod there is except for NOS and the 3.5 L ocnversion, and my friend balzz got me off the line through second in his GSR several times...
he also beat Crippen who had headers in his CL-S...only off the line with a standard tho...

:p it all depend on the driver, I've race my friend GSR before in my TL and i beat him about 1.5 car length, then later on we switch car and he lost to me about a half car length, while he's driving my TL!

Oh I'm sorry....my friend's IHE GSR beat me....by 1 car length...but I had 4 people in the car...he had 2...my tranny wouldn't shift from 2-3 and then the tranny just died...that's how a modded GS-R beats you...

I would think that at low speeds an auto would have the advantage over a manual from a roll because the auto can still drop down to first but the manual cant. But if your rolling fast enough the auto wont have access to 1st either and the taller gearing of the auto would definately be a disadvantage.

its all about manuel ... i know my friends dad had an audi a4 and he completely skips 3rd gear you cant exactly do that in a tl and you can (saftely ) pop the clutch so that gives you a advantage on the start.

off the line, a manual gsr w/exhaust and intake will spank you. take on a gsr on the freeway though and you'll show him that there's no replacement for displacement. i smoked one on the freeway and my car is a 1st gen.

I tried racing an Si with intake/exhaust on the freeway yesterday and I couldn't pull on him, not spraying of course. I don't know what else he had though. Do you think that there could be something wrong with my car.

I posted something like this a little while ago. I was racing an Integra on the highway, but I don't know what model it was (GSR, Type R). We were running from 60 or 70 to about 110. He couldn't pull on me and I couldn't pull on him. I thought for sure I would blow him away, especially in third gear in my Type S. I know he had an exhaust (everyone did because it was LOUD), but he said it was stock everywhere else. Whatever the case, it was a dead heat...

See what I mean. It was dead even and I have a TL-P.
Oh and BTW, I just figured out that when I raced the GSR spraying, my bottle was basically empty. That explains it.
