How do the side mirrors attach to the car?
My driver's side mirror was hit by a car overnight a while ago, I brought it to the dealer to replace and ever since then it has rattled a lot. I finally checked it out today and realized that the plastic housing for the side mirror (the part that attaches to the car) is very loose, and is causing rattles when it hits bumps, bass, etc.
I'm trying to figure out what I need to tighten in order to make it stop rattling, but I can't see (Im looking in the parking garage and it's kind of dark). I was thinking it could be that I need to remove that corner piece of plastic / felt that is in the corner of the driver side window (it looks like it could block access to some screws or something), but I'm not sure.
Anyone know how to fix this? I really don't want to have to go back to the dealer for this (I hate the local acura dealer, they're absolutely horrible).

i believe if you pop the little black cover off inside the car (about where the mirror is) you can get access to the bolts. (its about the only part of the car i havent taken off)

It's pretty easy to figure out if you just go pop off the plastic covering for the bolts. Of course once I did that I found out it was an actual part of the side mirror itself that was loose, not how it attached to the car, so I still haven't fixed the rattle.
