I want to get my tint soon, however I was told by the individual doing the tint that I would have to remove the 3rd brake light on the rear deck, otherwise he would have to tint around it.

I have a OEM spoiler so I don't need the brake light.

1- How would it look if I didn't take out the light and he tints around it?

2- How do I remove the light if I decide that I don't want to have the tint cut out?

the place I went to was able to tint w/o removing the brake light on my TL. On my gf's CL he wasn't able to tint because the CL's back is more slented. He ended up cutting around the light. It looks weird at the beginning, but it looks okay now. I guess you will get used to it. But on your TL it is possible to tint w/o removing the light. Removing it seems like a pain, since the sub is integrated with the brake light.

My tint guy was able to do it without removing the brake light. Totally do-able and if they say otherwise I would go somewhere else.

theres no need to remove the third brake light. go somewhere else and do it. i got my tint for only 150 all teh way around.

The 3rd brake light is part of the subwoofer cover. Just pop off the cover. It takes all of 5 seconds.
