How accurate is the 3492 lb Curb weight measurement?
My mom has a 99 TL, I took her to get a smog check yesterday and they weighed the car. The curb weight is suppose to be around 3492 lb. , but the scale measured 3760 lb., there wan't anything much in the car except some paper and books 10 lb max.
Curb weight is measured with 1/4 tank of gas, even with a full tank of gas, how can the number be off by 268 lb?

I weighed my '00 TL totally empty, nothing in it at all except for three gallons of fuel and me out of the car...a shocking 3399lbs! It is also non-nav.
