Guys... I dont know if maybe im lost in the sauce or what but whoever designed this little part of the car has gotta be smokin something good...

The bolt that holds the lower control arm on the driver side does not have enough room to pull out to remove the lower control arm, it hits the side of the tranny. What am I to do here to get it out? Cut the bolt? Am I missing something here? Pics below for visual explanation...




Let me know your ideas, Thanks guys.

loosen the tranny mount and jack it up a bit? not sure..

just asked my neighbor, loosen and jack up the tranny. thanks guys

By the way is this lower control arm supposed to look like this (nevermind the rust) but normally isnt there a hole where this stump is or the acura tl one is different?

Remove the trans mount (2 nuts from the bottom and lift the trans with a jack) and it will slip right out.
