Honda Odyssey and the TL?! what?!
ok, was sitting at a redlight, and across from me was a laguna green honda odyssey. and as i took a closer look i realized that that sum***** has the same front clip that i do. did you guys ever look at that? seriously look at the front clip of a HONDA odyssey and the front clip of our ACURA TL's. our $32,000 upscale luxury sedan is sharing parts with a $20,000 family minivan. it hurts man. but i guess the good part is if i ever bang up my front end i can swap out the front clip of my neighbors laguna green odyssey up the street haha!

I was getting ready to say it also a $20,000 minivan not the Odyssey. That thing can cost even more than a TL $30,000 or more. I am not sure what part your talking about but an Odyssey is not cheap.

I see an Odyssey in my future. For a van those things kick ass. Same Navi as TL, onboard DVD mounted to ceiling with flip down screen. Third row seating that goes into the floor.
Ofcourse it will be the wife driving it, not me

We just bought a 2002 Odyssey and there sure are similar parts in it. The lights and sunglass holders are identical, as are the wiper stalk and headlight stalk.
It performs nicely for being such a heavy van. The 240HP makes a difference. I think a stock TL is still faster though, so you guys don't worry!

all car families share the same part bins. that's how they keep costs down so our $30,000 car doesn't cost $40,000.
I'm sure if you look you'll find similar/identical parts between the TL and Civic or even the NSX. That deosn't mean your car is as slow as a Civic or as fast as an NSX. as long as you like the way your car looks and drives that's all that matters.
btw, what car your drive or parts you have has nothing to do with your "manhood" - just fyi
sorry, the manhood comment was probably over the top

Wow, you really are that upset..Welcome to reality man, parts are shared by all cars within a company..Those are the exact reasons why the TL is such a great value, because if it was using all it's own parts, the car would cost thousands more..Get over it, because nobody is going to notice that similarity anyway.

If you are surprised by the similarities to the oddysey than you are surely going to be upset that we share the same platform as the...........Drum Roll............ $15,000 Accord!

Just the Comptech Header fits: Accord V6, 1st gen CL 3.0 V6, TL, CL-S, and TL-S I believe
The Comptech exhaust fits all the same models. Not to mention all the sway bars and suspension arms are probably the same length, if not a little bit of difference here and there.
