Home depot lip kit

on the conversion..like others have said..all depends on where you get your parts..if you get new or used..oem or aftermarket...got my whole front locally from a guy who was parting out cheap..all i had to buy was the bumper..i got a aftermarket one..i did all the work by myself with help from my boy who owns a bodyshop..so i got a hook up...deff could be upward of 1200 or more from a bodyshop just for labor...even tho it wasnt hard to do

MAN its funny how everyone's definition of rice is SO different parts of the country. This by all means is not rice...this actually looks pretty decent for the price. As someone else said if it had JDM or Mugen but looked the exact same there wouldn't be any doubters....
For the price who can beat that really....makes the car look lower its not painted a RICE green color.... Now if you add some NEON lights under there...thats getting pretty RICE....
Otherwise... not my cup of tea, but if I had no money I would rock it. If I was in high school still with a TL and not my civic at the time you would bet I would rock it just to be different while doing it in a suttle way..
I like how you guys named it the "HD lip kit".... sounds more official than the Home Depot special.

hood, fenders, bumper, headlights, grille, and possibly bumper support? headlight brackets? alot to consider here.
its definately not a $600 job if you ask me. the hood and bumper alone might cost near that...
600 is considering every part you buy is under 100 bucks.. which aint happening lol
if i had to have a rough estimate i'd say the conversion was 1200 all the way to 2000 depending on where you buy parts and if you do ALL the work or none of it.
but i agree.. ask JP75 for best results

doesnt help enhance the front at all...
pretty much worthless unless youre slammed super low... or you attach that to a oem or ww lip... and even then it looks rather out of place.
seen it done before on 94-97 integra, slammed to earth, and it looked pretty good but thas a different shaped bumper, etc...

The Dumb One

i would use screws on each corner near the wheel. one in dead center front.. and one on each side where the front of bumper starts to turn... the rest (in between) should be fine with 2 sided tape and thats just to hide and gaps between it and the bumper.. the lip itself wont go anywhere with up to 5 screws in it...

What your problem is?
1. This thread freakin' exploded.
2. I like the look of it on some cars, but I think the color is what makes the HD kit work and look better.
3. Someone post what side to screw the rubber into the bumper into as I think you would want the rubber to fall straight down and not straight forward.
4. For those of you looking for a cheap side skirt from Home Depot, think gutters... yeah, the rain gutters that you use on the side of the house... get a few of them, cut to size and place them into the sides...drill into place... we used to use gutters on our integras and civics back in high school (10+ years ago for me) and it seemed to work okay... just make sure to drill holes in the bottom of the gutter so the water that accumulates drains and doesn't add weight.... hahahahaha.... good luck
