oh man, those were dry shots. it was/is that shiny now! i have no intention of putting the garage door lip on my car. thanks though.

mike's car doesn't look bad at all with it. i don't like the way it seems to flare out to the sides just in front of the wheels though.

I think that this mod of the "Home Depot lip" should only be used for those with a lip kit or those that are very low to the ground so that they do not scrape anything.

I also think that this is a very good/creative idea because this is a solution to all of you that have the scratches and scrapes on the bottom of your bumpers or lips. So that all of you don't go when you post pics of your car.

This mod is not for show, this mod is more for prevention. I can almost guarantee that the lip is on the G for preventing scrapes on the bumper.

OP good idea with the lip. Just remember that there will always be some that will hate on work that is being done. Someone once told me that if people aren't hating then you aren't doing anything right.

im sure that g35 has this to prevent scrapes on his lip..but the point is some people have a problem with the simple act of putting this on a car for any purpose..prlwhtl..your car looks goooood

i bet u that if excelerate, healtoe, and those other companies said that it was jdm or front lip and included some screws, they can easily sell it for $180+ and ppl would buy it bc it was tagged with "jdm"

That is so true. Some people here buy anything that is "JDM" no matter what the price. Yes it may look nice, but is it legit?

I'm not trying to say that all JDM is not real because it obviously is.

I think it looks good, but I rather save the money and buy the right parts that I want the first time. Without having to replace them later on.

the ones with brains would realize what it was and never even think of paying that for it.

but surely there would be those select members that would pay that.. see it happen all the time with other types of crap.

Sickest thing I have seen to keep the road and curbs off your ride was what I saw a few days ago on an Aston Martin here in Houston... it was a piece of brushed aluminum that stuck about an inch off the leading edge of the lower valance on the car... and went all the way around (like this rubber piece the OP showed us)....it looked sick and prob alot cheaper than jacking the front end of a 100+k ride... just a thought, since your car is hawt....

Honestly... for less than 10 clams... that looks really good... I have seen $1000 mods to our cars that look like booty... I might rock it myself...sure would save me some paint!!!!
