HKS exhaust ques.
Hey..i was thinking about getting the hks exhaust..i was wondering if you guys can tell me how it sounds..about how loud it is...and just about everything else about it..i dont know anyhting about it..im intrested in a exhaust that people can hear and make tehm intrested..but not overly loud and annoying...also...i want like a low rumble..nothing ricey..also..i hear that it need to be extended to fit properly?...also..if i dont extend it, will this cause me problems like melting my bumper...i also have a body kit..will tha melt?...also..does it look good if it doesnt stick ut far enough?
oh..and anyone know about AEM pulleys?..will that do anything for a 03 TLS? also..will it cause like bad vibrations or anything or is it hard to put in?...oh..and btw..will any of these mods void my warrenttee?

haha thats awsome u got ur TL when ur 16.. so did i .im now 17 and driving it. when u turn 17? the hks are big and i think they look better on a CL. if you have a body kit without gettin the hks extended yes itll melt it away. iv only heard them when the person took out their resonator (premuffler) so it was very loud.. you will hear the exhuast from the inside more then outside. you def hear the exhuast at 2000-3500 rpms then it dies out as you get higher into the rpms.
i myself dont have them. i got the CT and i love them.

thanx..i turn 17 in october...you really think its to big...i saw a picture of it and it look alright...the CTs look really nice..but i think it maybe alittle small for me...how much you think it'll cost to get both mufflers extended?
oh..and anyone know what springs i should get...the comptechs lower the car 1.75f 1.5r and the H&Rs lower 1.75f 1.75r...will the back of my car be to low if i get the h&rs?(im leaning toward them..cheaper) i plan on putitng 2 subs in the trunk so with that extra weight do you think it will sag to low with the H&Rs?...i probably wont have more then 2 people in the back seats most of the time..so which set up should i get?

u can have my H&Rs butim in canada and im not sure if u wanan pay the shipping...
h&rs will be good for u, u'll like it better than the comptechs imo(make sure u get new shocks too...i found the ride to be bouncy at high speeds..)
im 16 too but the tl isnt mine

extending the HKS is only about a $40 - $50 job depending on wherever you decide to go. well worth it IMO cuz it looks a LOT hotter and will save ur kit

ok ok either way hks or comptechs they are hot.. badazztl has the removed resonator so his is real loud. the comptech exhaust is noticable when on your car. i can send you pics of those to. lol

haha...i guess it will be quite expensive...ive been so excited about modding i havent really havent stopped to think of the costs...maybe im in over my head...lol...but hey...i'll spend till im broke...im sure the girls wont mind a home cooked meal...(i make a mean grill cheese)

Yo WTF - Everyone's got Sliver on Black - Mine is Black on Black and I love It . I wanna mod it out , too but right now w/ me losing my job and having a girlfriend it really isn't going to be happening that soon. whatever it will happen - BTW i am 17 too and i am from NJ and i just got my TL - i can't wait till the spring meets they are going to be insane

16 when you got urs huh? I got mine when I was 17, but I cant argue. I lvoe the car and so will you. I have it lowered on Tein Coilovers, just stock 16's AEM CAI, cleared front lights, red and clear tails, limo all the way around, alpine deck with two RF HX2 12's powered by zapco 1000 im about to get the HKS too, I hope it wont be too low for me. IM lowered about 2 to 2.5 inches he he, might be a lil low, but thats ok. Supposed to be having my OBX headers in soon, comptech are lil much for me. I think you should get the HKS though, THEY ARE BADASS LOOKIN, wether its a CL or TL, would be sweet. comptechs look too small.
