HKS Exhaust

Part number 3302-EX066 is the one that fits 03 TLs? Just wanted to make sure before I order the thing.

It was between comptech and HKS. I think the tips on comptech exhaust are too small for me. looks stock IMO...

Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks guys

Really?! so many different opinions.... i heard it's as loud as comptechs, i've heard comptechs, but never heard hks. I guess only way to answer this is by getting a definite answer from HKS owners. Anyone? help!

you may want to go ask the folks over at www.acura-cl.com I know a lot of them have the HKS system.

I've heard it before and I love the sound... but didn't you have all of your resonators removed... so it's not really comptech exhaust. I actually heard comptechs on my friend's accord V6, they are a lot quieter than yours

I think if my exhaust was that loud, my wife would kill me

they arent as loud as that but still have that sound. the nice thing with the comptechs are the quiet tip inserts. they really make a difference and only take a min (no exageration on that) to install

If you are getting the HKS Super Drager exhausts strictly on look, then I strongly recommend it. But if you also want sound, then you might bite yourself on the rear because it comes pretty quiet, TL909 and njtls will agree with me on this one I'm sure.

It's not farfetched to say HKS is quieter than stock, but I think it's a little louder at RPMS between 2500-3000.

One of the side effects of getting HKS in addition to the low rumble it produces is having a muffler shop extend it. Believe me, when you complete the installation, the HKS is like hiding underneath your OEM Body Kits, you can't see it! So, it'll cost you more to have it extended.

HKS also tends to shake a lot when you go over bumps at high speeds. TL909 and njtls and I have all removed the exhaust resonator. Both of them removed the large resonator, I removed the small the and large. Having the small one removed will do you squat because it won't increase the sound much. You'll have to remove the large one. WORD OF CAUTION: you might not like it. Once removed, this thing is LOUD HAHHH. It produces a very, very nice deep rumble, but it might not be your taste since you said your wife might kill you if it's too loud.

You can choose to leave the HKS as is and just have it extended to meet your back body kit, which is perfectly fine. But you won't tap its full potential unless you remove the large resonator, the sound is just amazing.

On a side note: I have so far set off 3-4 car alarms now in parking lots HAHHH. I know once I set it off while trying to find parking at my school, and another time it was funny. I was at Wal-Mart and just got done. Went to my car and turned my engine on. The sound erupted an alarm belonging to a small Integra that was about 10 car lengths away! HAHHH honest to God, it is the truth.
