High pitched grinding sound??? What is it?
Hey all,
A few months ago, i took my car in for an oil change, and had them check out this high pitch grinding noise coming from my car. It would happen at low RPM's from a stop or from under 20mph. it would be a quick 1-2 second grinding sound.
The dealership said it was my Aftermarket A-Pipe or something. I have OBX Headers. So my friend and I checked to see if there were loose bolts or if the heat shield was causing the sound. Nothing was loose, we tightened it up, but the sound continued. My friend said he doesn't think it's the header pipe.
It's a high pitched grinding noise. When in Park, or Nuetral, i have to rev to about 5000rpm, and then at 5000rpm the grinding sound happens. But in drive, the car only makes that sound at low rpm's when moving from a slow speed or from a stop. It really sucks.
I'm gonna take it back to the dealer but was just wondering what you guys thought!
Thanks!
