HID Light sometimes comes on, mostly not
I've started to notice when I turn the lights on that the right HID headlight will only come on about 25% of the time. If I turn the lights off then on both dont come on, which I think should happen as it takes time to warm up? I'm not sure how HID lights work exactly.
But regarding the one light, is this a bulb going? ballast? igniter(not sure if this exists in this case)?
Thanks

This happened to me before I replaced my battery.
Replaced with the biggest, highest amperage Optima I could get - no more problems...
That did it for me - you might have more going on.

Hmm well the battery is pretty new, maybe the current is too low on it...
As for the kit, any help on which to be looking at? I'm not sure what I need for my car if there is anything specific? Do I need a harness etc?

try swapping the bulbs left to right side of the car--see DIY section for help
see if the problem follows the bulb
gen2 are ready for new bulbs.. a few years ago...
If you get a pink tint at startup --thats a death warning
our bulbs are special order- ck net for 35 cheapos and hope they last and have decent output--or 100 for kaixen brand--always replace in pairs--prices given are for pair
stay with 4300k stock color or 5000k for more blue ,,,not above 6k or you lose white light to see with on the road
yes we do have ballast and ignitor
If you have moisture inside the headlight lens--the ballast gets dripped on and shorts out

Okay so I know I need 35W bulbs, around the 4500K color range. What type of bulb do I get though? So many to choose from and I know nothing about these lol. Today I just noticed that neither of the lights are really turning on well, once in a while now I can get 1 of them on if I wait a while after the car is started, but its not one specific side, it could happen to driver or passenger.
