HID fogs

I have an 02 tl-s and one of my fog lights is out and i was thinking of upgrading to some hids. So can I just buy some HID fog lights on ebay an plug em in? Or is there something else that is involved? What do you think of these?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-X...#ht_1503wt_941

thanks in advance for your help

dont bother. save your money.
of everyone i know that did the HID conversion, including myself, it rarely works.
My setup worked the first day, then my drivers side stopped working.

There is NO reason if you bought a quality HID kit that it wouldnt work.

Did you check the connections? Same thing happened to me, but it was just a loose pin connector.

i have to get under my car to check. but i know 4 people that did conversions, and they all had problems.

Admittedly i did not spend a fortune on my kit.

I know a lot of people that are running this kit with no problems what so ever.

What were the problems? Substandard parts, or connections, or ? Should be pretty straightforward.

this link is pretty helpful: https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/03-tl-s-fog-light-bulb-709116/

and you can buy it from a sponsored seller on acurazine for $60: https://acurazine.com/forums/sponsored-sales-group-buys-10/hid-special-%2460-shipped-acurazine-members-723872/
look through the thread, they have excellent reviews. i bought mine there and they're fully functional. plus, great customer service if anything goes wrong or if you need help

everyone? how many people is that?

I've had my hid fogs for over a year, use them all the time at night, and they're perfectly fine. One of the better investments I've made.

to cameraman282,
those bulbs on ebay are halogens like josh said, look at the comparison picture, it says "Our Halogen 'HID like' bulb"

i am skeptical of led fog kits because all of my led bulbs for other applications come nothing close to HID output.

Fog Light 8000K
High Lamp 6000K

Self made relay kit: bought everything from Autozone
Self made Fog Lamp by pass, to turn on fogs & High lights and do a supernova and burn some retinas!!!! yay!!!
