Good luck with whatever you buy!

Excelerate has the kaixen brand in 5000k or 6000k,
special ziner deal $109 per pair- shipped
You lose some white on the ground in front of the car with the 6000k, but some of us prefer them for the better abilty at picking out distant road signs and lines.
5000K no one would complain about not being able to see, yet it looks a bit bluer to the driver which does help at night- they put reflecto stuff in many paints now and the blue just lights them up!
Go to Lowes and look at the floresent lighting display wall- they have big pics of each color rating in action- from 3000 up = may help you decide,
and go home with some 6000k bulbs for lamps in the house- the computer desk,,,looks like natural midday sun~ Thats the color they use for winter blues- I like it,
its articficial sunlight color, even found outdoor security lighting in 6000k so my car, driveway, stairway all match!!
you only need the correct bulbs- not a 600$ kit- we already have the ballast driven system! Talk to Josh- Excelerate- he will get you the right parts
NOTE
Be careful installing bulbs- note the position of external electrode on the old one as you remove- new one must go in exactly same position!!!!!!!
Wear rubber/latex gloves when handling new bulbs- skin oil get on a new bulb and creates a hot spot on the glass when its heated by using.
That will lead to early failure of an expensive part
If you dont have proper gloves- wipe the bulb with a paper towel an rubbing alcohol
Old bulbs go in the HAZMAT disposal program for the materals inside
