HID color combinations and visible light

Hey guys

So different temps produce different colors and diffe levels of ambient light. Whats ur favorite color/temp? Also I hear that once u get into 8000-12000K that the ambient light goes down? Is this true?

Thanks and
Happy TLing

4300k: Most visible ambient lighting...
6000k: Mostly just an upgrade for people that want a slight blue/purplish hue in their lights.

.. and yes, the higher you go in the Kelvin Temp., light output goes down.
