After some thoughts, and hard time deciding, finally traded in my '93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for a '02 TL-S, Silver/Ebony.

Congrats on your new purchase. The TL-S is an amazing car. Where did you purchase your car from? Did you get a discount on the car or did you have to pay full retail?

 

I got it from Logheed Acura. Traded my Jeep, plus $35,000 included taxes. Have rear splash guard, blackwood cluster panel and wheel lock added. Was gonna get spoiler, but figure that TL-S looks sweeter w/out. Got the car from Henry, who has been very helpful, and very willing to work out a deal FOR customers!!!

Originally going for Diamond White/Beige, but Silver/Ebony has more long-lasting look.

BTW, my Jeep GC Limited is fully loaded, except V8 and sunroof. 110,500KM, no accident, and one owner..

Thnx guys for the warm welcome. I have been on this forum for a while now actually. But haven't got a chance to register to be part of the great people here. It's great to see a forum with alot of information/tips and alot less flames.

Acura TL has always been one of my favourite sports sedan, and it's already getting addictive even though it's still 2 days away before picking my TL-S up..

Now, it's time for me to do a forum search, and get all the info about break-in a TL-S properly... Guess I will see you guys on here, regulary...

Hi Andy. I'm going in to Lougheed Acura tomorrow to buy a TL-S, I saw one I want on the lot today but being Good Friday the dealers here are closed.

Lougheed Acura is a good dealer, I bought my wife a 98 CL there and they've been great ever since. They're a family run dealership and a class act.

I deal with a salesman named Tom who is great also, very knowledgable and no pressure.

I live near Westwood Honda and get all my service done there, it's about one-half the price and the same materials. Plus I can walk to and from Westwood. I'm goint to buy a silver one also so I'll watch for you around town. Cheers.

 

That's GREAT!!! Logheed Acura has 3 Silver TLS, 1 demo, 2 brand new!!! So, that means we take all the brand new TLS then??

The last 4 digit of VIN of the Silver TLS you are going after would be 0342(unless they have sold that one, and need to get you a new TLS). The Demo's is 0086, and mine is 0093...

Anyways, I am picking up my car around 11:00 AM tomorrow.. Let me know how everything goes!!

Thanks for the info Andy. You're correct, they had three silver TL-S on the lot today, one demo, one new one cleaned up and ready to go which would be yours, and one new one with plastic on the seats and not washed yet.

I'll let you know how I make out, I have a 2000 Monte Carlo I'm trading and unless they really try to screw me on my trade I'll make the deal tomorrow . Good luck with yours tomorrow.

 

I dropped by Lougheed Acura about 6:20 PM, and it seems either my TLS is in the delivery room(if there is one!??)or some one is driving my new baby home for tonight(though I doubt someone would do that at Acura, but I DO heard something like that happen with domestic brands)...

Anyways, I checked my car before they get my car for preparation, and it has about 24 KM on the clock...is that normal??

What's the delivery mileage on the car when you have the '98 CL delivered??

The CL had 12 kms when I picked it up. When I was there today there were three silver TL-S.
