Question Hey everyone

Hey. I decided to post, even though I haven't gotten an Acura YET. I want the type S so bad, but my woman is totally against it. She thinks we need something more practical. Have any of you had trouble with your women, and how did you fix "the problem"

I just want to tell her, "women can't come between they're cars, it just DOESN'T work!"

Help!

test drives usually does the trick, they will 'see' the value of the TL.

I guess I got lucky, because the TL was the car my gf totally wanted!! She got the Accord instead, so now she's just jealous!

But yeah, take her for a test drive - and given the overall value of the TL for what you get - how can it not be practical?!?! I'm guessing there's more to the story!

Well what does she think is practical ? If we know what cars she's considering, we can probably offer some good reasons on why a TL is a better choice.

And
No ! None of us have ever had any trouble with our women, have we ? ! ? !

Ahhh, just woke up.....:o and I'm very sleepy. That's one thing that's good about women, they keep you up for GOOD REASONS. I swear, you know how they say that men think about sex more than women? I must have gotten one of the freaks!!

My woman thinks that we need a Nissan Maxima. This is something that I would NEVER go for. I mean, I'm the one that would be paying for it, why would I want to pay that much for something so common and doesn't really have the balls? She's not into "speedy cars". How can I get her to change her mind?

TL not practical, take her for a test drive in a Mustang and she will realize how practical it really is.

About the Maxima, Here are a few pointers that might persuade her.

1. TL holds its value better
2. TL has a larger trunk (may not be true but it's worth a shot)
3. TL has more interior space (same disclamer as #2)

There are a TON of TL/TLs's on the road, they are just as common, and I don't know what Maxima you're talking about, but the 2002 is as fast as the TLs.

You have answered your own question. Since you are paying for it, she has no say in it. Grow some balls and put your foot down.

Reasons

Get a TLS with Navi and tell the women it can find all the MALLS in the area. Matter of fact if will find most of them in the USA. That should help. If that doesn't work JUST BUY IT, but still get the navi it will show you all the hospitals, which you'll probably need.

My gf wants an IS300 when I was looking for a new car because she thinks it is so cute and small. Well, after I test drove one, I was totally disgusted with it because of how small it is. Then I took a drive on the TypeS and I was like Wow!! Hey, I paid for it so I guess she has nothing to say about that.

TypeS, you have to understand, the IS300 was never aimed at the TL/TLs, it was directly towards the 3-series and C-class, which all share similiar dimensions. I always see people say they chose the TLs over the IS because it was too small, well so is a Corvette, or Audi TT for that matter. Because they both are considered "sedans" is irrevelant, since an LS430 is also, so an LS owner would find the TL series too small also. So I can only assume that price puts them together, but let's be honest, there are a ton of $30k vehicles out there to compare.
