Help with Upgraded Gauge Cluster install
Hello all - I am trying to install a 2002 type-S gauge cluster(dont know whether its out of a TL or CL) into a 2001 non type-S CL. After I got everything reconnected there was a constant buzzing noise coming from the main gauge cluster control unit-< not the regualr door chime>. Any thoughts on where I went wrong? I already know that the temp gauge will not work, and I am not sure of what else might cause this buzzer to sound constantly. I have a service manual and wiring diagrams, but i know there has to be someone out there that has run into this problem before? Any Help is Greatly Appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Yes, your Temp. will not work right. You can make temp. needle work right.
1. Take off clear cover plastic case
2. Plug up the cluster
3. PULL NEEDLE OFF VERY VERY SLOWLY
4. Start Your Car
5. Now push back in needle (keep it middle area)
6. After you do that it should stay in middle even After you start an turn off your car.( That wat i DID) Sometime it may go back High Temp. But after your next restart should go back in middle.
Also there nothing you can do with "VSA" light since we don't have it, we have "TCS." About noise i don't know Maybe just unplug and wait minute an plug it back up again Beside your miles be-ing wrong .... everything seen to work fine. I have had my in for about year half now...
Remember went you get your car service put back old cluster... Drive another 5K or less an then put back your Type-S cluster... Keep your MILES Low
