Help! Spoiler Lights are burning out!
Anyone ever had a problem with the light bulbs on their spoiler burning out? Are these bulbs easy to replace? There are 4 screws holding the main bulb fixture to the spoiler, but gosh they are hard to get out! The angle of the screwdriver makes it rub against the trunk without a towel.
My biggest concern is that there are 5 bulbs that are burned out, and they are all in a row... all on the far right side of the fixture. I'm wondering if a little transistor blew or something. I dont see how 5 bulbs could suddenly go bad at the same time, and all right next to each other. Anyone ever had theirs fixed? Help please!

Three Wheelin'
since the lights are LEDs rather than conventional filament style light bulbs, its unlikely they all went at the same time. More likely a hairline crack of the circuitboard or maybe a failed diode, resistor etc. on the board. You may have to take the spoiler off the car to get the light assembly off.

And most likely it will be easier to replace the whole assembly. Unless you are VERY good with soldering gun and can get the right LEDs. I am pretty sure there is no "replacement LED".

When you say replace the whole assembly... are you talking about replacing the whole spoiler? or just the red fixture? The red piece comes off in one whole piece, and there are only two wires (positive and negative) so the wiring is very simple.
I was gonna open it up and break out my soldering gun, and see if I can find where the connection was broken. Since you guys said that these are LED lights, I guess I cant just replace the burned out ones.... if they are indeed burned out.
But seriously... what do people do when this happens? Lights dont last forever. I mean tail lights burn out, so do headlights and turn signals... so there MUST be some sort of replacement procedure?

You can buy the whole assembley for 35 bucks + shipping. www.spoilers.com You want Part#2240 for the OEM Spoiler. You can even upgrade to a clear casing (the LED still light up red) Part#2240C for clear LED.
