Help with P0420 - off market catalytic converter

My 99 TL came up with the P0420 code and check engine light has been ON for a while. I finally have decided to bite the bullet and change the catalytic converter (better late than never)

On Ebay there are a few ones out there that are branded as "direct fit". The shape is slightly bent on one end. Is this the correct fit.

NEW EASTERN ACURA 3.2CL TL CATALYTIC CONVERTER

Part Number: 40358

Do you recommend any other store. Dealership costs 500+, not ready to shell out that much on the old Acura.

Thanks for your response

SR.

before you shell out the cash for a new cat.. you should check the o2 sensors first... that code just popped on my car as well, except i know for sure its not the cat because i have a brand new high flow cat... i believe that code refers to one of the o2 sensors going bad... pretty sure its the first one... havent got around to changing mine yet but might want to check that before you buy a new cat

have a muffler shop ck the cat for you

high flow cats often need a spark plug anti fouler on the O2 sensor so it gets a normal flow rate or will give false codes
