Help me please!
I need to know if I should get my window fixed before I trade the car in. I was driving behind a truck and it kicked up a rock that left a spider mark in my window. I called my insurance company and they said they would "repair" it for free as long as it wasnt in my line of sight. I could also get a brand new one for $100 dollar deductible. My question is will it look bad on the car (like I got in an accident) if I just got the window completely replaced? Also should I remove my autostart and alarm before i sell the car? Will it decrease the value if it is in when I sell it? And should the tint be removed since its not "legal"? (Its 35% all around). I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance

I would replace the windshield. Songoku is right. As far as the alarm, leave it or remove it, no difference in what the dealer will give you. But if you leave it, they will mark up the price and tell the next buyer some hype about it to justify the price hike.

yea cause their price is will be triple to fix it and they will take that value off the car......for ex if it costs u 300 for a new wind shield they will say it costs like 700-800 for them to put one in and u know its BS but they will drop that off the value to be Dix

wait a minute, ur trading ur 03 TL-S in already? What are you buying? If so, get rid of everything except the tint...dealer usually goes by book value, they dont care about any mods....

I had a nasty spidermark on my TL (3rd in one year, sigh). For $45, a windshield place repaired it (like all the others) and it disappeared except for a very tiny spec that you have to know it's there to find it.
