Help with Intake.

Hey guys, I just got paid, and was wondering if it was hard for anyone to install the Comptech Ice Box CAI. If I order it tomorrow, when will it be in by? My main concern, is feed back. I wanna know, who has one, and if it was hard to put in, and if they felt a noticable difference with it on. Also how long it took to come in. Thanks a million,...

I have one installed on my 99. It's the same Icebox for the Accords and TL's but does not fit perfectly into the 1999's because of the HID cover. For some reason, the 1999 HID's extend further into the Icebox area than others. I drove mine to Comptech so they could custom fit the upper box.

You should call Comptech and ask them first before you order. They may need to send you out a specific kit for the 1999.

As far as difficulty, it really depends on how good you are mechanically. You have to pull the front bumper cover off to get the stock resonator box out. As long as you can follow instructions, have the proper tools, and are patient, anything can be done.

It would probably take a week to get to you if you're in NH.

As far as feel, yes, you can definitely feel a difference. To me, it added to the mid and upper pull. It can be decieving because of the additional engine sounds.

It's a nice Mod but definitely call Comptech tomorrow before you order.

Also, is there a better one out there for our cars, or is this one the best?
