Help with Injen CAI Hoses/Install
Last night I installed my Injen CAI on my 02 TL Type S without any instructions other than the ones I found out here for a AEM (Pretty much the same). However, the kit came with 2 vacuum hoses. I think I know where they are supposed to go, but I wanted to see if anyone has any solid information or instructions you could e-mail me. The insall wasn't bad, only about 1.5 hours and you could definetly tell a difference. It's like the car was sophicating. Thanks for your help!!!

My intake did come with good instructions, however, I agree with you that the directions for the hoses weren't that clear. I did it my own way and left the stock metal pipe in the car, and just used the Injen hoses to extend that. Check out the link below, it shows a pic of the intake. Since the pic I have replaced the anti-freeze hose. I removed the Injen hose and added the stock one back on. I'm still using the Injen hose for the air though. Anyway, maybe this will help.....

Thanks Juniorbean
That's pretty much what I did, but I didn't shorten the hose. I wanted to wait and see if my approach was viable. I think I'll keep the stock metal tubes and just run the extension. Thanks for you quick response.

Injen Intake
It has a suttle "hiss" when it starts up, but seams to go away or maybe you get used to it. When you give it gas, you can definetly hear it sucking air (like it was meant to). On the road, when you get about 3500 rpms, the engine is definetly more "throaty" sounding. It sounds great! When you shut the engine off, it sounds like it's decompressing or something.
I have an 98 eclipse GST spyder (which will spank my Type S) that I added a K&N FIPK to it a year and a half ago, it is really loud. Of course having forced induction makes a difference.
I only paid $100 bucks for my new Injen CAI, but it's well worth the investment.
Take care,
