hey everyone,
just called my dealer about trying to get the comptech axle back exhaust. I wanted the dealer to install in order to avoid any warranty issues. Ok here's the thing, the price for the comptech exhaust is about $600 on here. which is a damn good price. but i wanted to buy it from the dealer, again to elminate ANY warranty issues and the parts DEPT at riverside acura (CA) told me about 690. its about a $70 difference including shipping but id rather get it from the dealer. the parts dept guy says they should charge about 50 bucks for installation for about an hr. BUT when i called the service dept he wanted 80 bucks for installation. i know the guy too and he seems like a swindle. when i called like 6 different acura's they said they don't carry the part but they would install for about 40 to 50 dollars. acura of palm springs said 46.79 but they don't carry the part. armed with this information i called riverside and tried to come to a compromise. they stayed firm in their 80 dollar installation fee. IS THIS NORMAL or is he trying to pull a quick one?
DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY DEALERSHIPS IN SOCAL THAT CARRY THE PART AND INSTALL IT FOR A GOOD PRICE? WHAT DID EVERYONE PAY (AVERAGE) FOR INSTALLATION?

As long as it is by Comptech it doesn't matter where you get it from, just make sure it has not been altered or modified. Installation can be done by anyone, keep the reciept and make sure they itemize the work so you will have prove in the future if anything goes wrong.
