help. electrical. dead radio, gear stuck

i screwed up my car. while taking out my shock sensor i accidently shorted that 12v wire to chassis and now my radio, cigarette, and nav doesn't work, also i can't shift into gear without manually depressing that gear over-ride next to park. i checked the radio/nav fuses on passenger side compartment and its okay.

this is the red wire from the driver's side fuse box that i shorted.

what should i do? dealer.

check ALL of the fuse locations, probably one under hood too.

i had something similar happen with the shifter in a 95 civic and it turned out to be a fuse.

I think there is a fuse box over on the passenger side. Same thing happened on our Land Cruiser. My wife calls me one day from the mall and tells me that she can't shift out of PARK. She used the override to get home. Once I looked it over, both the tail light and brake light fuses were blown. The shift interlock (In the 'Cruiser at least) is integrated with the brake lights.

I later found out the cause of it was the tail light converter for the trailer hitch wiring harness went bad. It's mounted right on the frame and was shorting.

Good luck!
