get down under the car, remove the plastic cover & unscrew the filter. btw, u need to have a very short screwdriver. otherwise, it's kinda hard to unscrew coz of lack of space. mine actually remove the whole intake the first time so as to get it done.

I cleaned mine prior to this ice age we are experiencing this winter. Just take out the whole assembly. That way, you can also clean the pipe. Don't think that just because the filter is there, that the pipe is squeaky clean inside. I was actually surprised as to how much dust can accumulate in there. Flush the pipe with water too just to have a complete cleanup. My philosophy is, why do a half ass job just cleaning the filter? If you're gonna spend that time, why not clean out the whole intake? The whole thing didn't even take me 30 minutes. While I let the filter drip dry, I washed the car too. Kill two birds with one stone.

Hey snow dude, your dealer seriously put in the Aem CAI for free? That is awesome. So the intake doesn't void you warranty huh? Do you have a TLS? How did you get the dealer to do that for you?
