HOW does it overheat--suddenly when stopped at light? then goes back down moving?
or slowly climbs from start to redline and have to shut off engine
what?

on water pump prob- was it overheating or leaking?- does it/has it hit temp redline and been driven at that temp?

inside the res bottle cap is a hose attached to the cap- if that falls off no fluid transfer
Ck rad cap seal and spring assembly- lot of those failures recently

you replaced the water pump and timing belt? drained engine block for that job
How did you burp the system to get all the air out afterwards??

Does the driver side fan come on and off as needed
the passenger side fan operates with the ac on?

as a heads up: when the car is driven with redline temps,, prob fixed and car goes away happy for several months,,only to return with a blown head gasket!
They get damaged then slowly show the failure

thats what cking the fluids is for
