Heat Rejecting Glass?

What exactly is this heat rejecting "green" glass that the TL is supposed to have, and was it on the 99 TL? And does tinting affect it negatively, whatever it does.

It is on the 99 and I never noticed any difference as compared to regular glass.

When you go to take the pictures of your TL, open one of the doors and look at the reflection the sun makes on the ground when it passes through the window and it will be green.
