Heat gun to clear headlights
I'm going to clear my headlights. From what I have read through the threads, many people use their ovens to heat up the lamp housing so that they can separate the lights and take out the yellow reflector.
My question is, can i use a heat gun to substitute the oven? I'm worried that the "cooking" from the oven might crack the lens on the lights.

i think heat gun will take way too long b/c you will not heat up the whole headlight evenly...
the point of using the oven is to heat the headlights evenly all around so that its easy to take apart...
using a heat gun may even be a riskier choice b/c u might overheat parts of the plastic and melt something.
this is just my opinion....

just use the oven like most. its faster and easier. If you follow the directions you wont hurt any thing. If any thing you stand a greater chance of damage with the heat gun due to hot spots and additional prying
