headlight strobes

does anyone know anything about how to hook up headlight strobes on a TL? i know things are kind of hard to get to to in the headlight housing . on the package it says you have to drill a 1/2' hole wherever you want them installed. could this be done on a TL without tearing everything up? people say it is pretty easy to do so . any suggestions?

YOu might be able to just squeeze it in where the turn signal bulb goes...and just let it hang there. But all the ones I've seen have had the bulb drilled...

I know this sounds stupid. But if you want it for show, you can remove the Daytime running light/high beam and put the strobe in there. Not sure if this gonna work..
just my 2cents

first off which kit do you have ... if its not th real police kit then seriously i wouldnt even waste your time.
the easiest way to drill a hole in your headlight is to take theheadlight off which entails taking alot of other stuff of on your model tl ... then drill it gett all of the pieces out and put it on ....
it is reallynot an easy thing to do i know cause i saw what StreetEffectz had to do to do my police kit

To do it right you really need to take the headlight housing out which means you need to drop the front bumper. Not the hardest thing in the world but it helps if you have a second set of hands helping so you don't scratch the thing. The only real trouble is when you drill into the headlight housing, it is double-walled. That means there is the inner wall which is the reflective surface you can see and then there is the outer casing wall which is what you see from the back. There is anywhere from 1/4" to 1/8" of space between the two walls. It makes drilling a clean hole tough and the plastic bits that come off get everywhere. It's a b!tch to try and get all those pieces out. Have someone hold a vacuum near the drill bit while you're drilling to suck up the pieces and keep them from falling inside the housing. If they get in between the two walls you'll never get them all out and they'll show up in the oddest places in the housing. Plus make sure you seal the hole *really* tight to avoid moisture.
