Talking Headers, Sways from SNOOK, install by Park Ave!

I ordered the CompTech Headers and Sways from Tim, who had them shipped directly to Park Ave Acura. I went down there last week and had them installed. It worked out great! I was able to support Tim, and at the same time have them installed by someone who actually knows what they are doing, and is an Acura dealer to boot!

They were real good about it, although Tom told me the parts guy gets annoyed at these kind of deals. I would imagine that he gets some sort of commission.

Anyway, I also got their $150 shock sensor installed, so I bought something from them. (I also got my Comptech springs and exhaust from them last spring, so I don't feel so bad)

Well, the sways are awesome. I did not get them originally as I was told that the TL-S had "better" sways than the TL, but I was convinced by Mr Hyde that they were well worth it, and I must say the are definately worth it. The spring/sway makes the car stick like glue.

One thing, though, is that they expose the tires for what they are, CRAPPY! (Of course, mine have 21,000 miles on them )

As for the headers, well, they don't do much during normal driving, but when you get the RPM up, the damn thing flies! The only bummer is that to get the real power from them (and have the most fun). you have to use the SS and keep the revs up. The downside of this is the gas mileage goes down, but the fun factor goes way up!!

Here's a picture:

Forgot something, for those of you who don't know, "TIM" is the guy who runs this site. When we buy parts from him, we help support the large cost of keeping this place going!!!

Yeah, now I have to hold on and hope the car can go the 250,000 miles I plan on going with it.

The only thing left to get is the CAI, but I'm going to hold off on that one for a while. I think tires will be next on my list, but the factory ones will have to do for the winter.

Thanks for the kind words!

Wouldnt steer you wrong Jon, and you forgot to mention how beautiful the headers look under the hood. I just pop the hood to look at em.

Congrats Jon!

Hopefully I will be getting my headers, exhausts, and sways in the spring/summer.

Congrats John!! I'm saving for those headers as well!! Sways will be in this spring. I can't believe you did the shock sensor install though. How did they do it? I mean, I bought the sensor from the web for $10 and had it installed this weekend, and it works great. What did they do to the car that cost $150? Just curious.....

Actually, I think they out sourced that. On my invoice, it says that part was "SUBLET". That's probably why it was so expensive.
