Headers and intake resolved my engine "shake" at startup

Before my mods.. when I would start my car (cold engine) after a night of sitting around, the engine would shake/and make a knock noise (discussed before on this forum from many other members) .. it would only happen as soon as i started the car .. and never when the engine was warm...

Now, w/ the intake/headers set-up .. it starts smoothly every time.. cold or warm engine .. and it has this nice little rumble as it starts (not really a rumble, but I'm at a loss for words) ..

What do they call this .. ?? serendipity? .. no .. repair by proxy? ..

I think it is called a red herring or maybe some psychobabble trickery...The good news it really doesn't matter since it is corrected!

Aren't the headers/intake on this car absofu(kinlutely wonderful in vtech? The car gets entirely transformed and is really more balanced with them (if you consider our lack of torque but wonderful high end well-balanced)!

r10 ..

I totally agree w/ you .. the headers add a dimension to the performance of this car that really makes me think .. why didn't these come on the car stock???

Is it just me, or were the comptech headers taken off this site?

I quit worrying about a/m versus stock. It would seem even more simple, that a car should come with some more serious sway bars. Any car. It really costs little, dynamically improves the handling (which improves safety) while marginally affecting the ride quality if at all...
I dunno...The headers/intake puts the performance really in it's prime...
I still fume at the C&D article thinking about it. I can't imagine this car with the s/c kit and the linear torque it would provide. It took a while getting used to the power post mods with the FWD set up and still, I'd like to know how much crack the C&D guys were smoking prior to the test...
Anyone on this board that has a modded car truly knows the power potential and what they do on the street. No it's not the fastest car on the road or quickest, but sooooooooo many people refer to that article and they have no clue.
When the new piggyback comes, I may step into the s/c realm very soon...

Yeah, all the smoke from the crackpipe was clouding the inside of the car and they were shifting from 1st to third at 3500 rpm's...

Fellas... the trap time was still pretty impressive .. and if you really READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE.. you'll realize that the 30-50, 50-80mph dashes were DRAMATICALLY improved... the car had some serious ballz on the highway ..

Youz guyz need to stop lookin' at th 1/4-mile time as the only stat that qualifies a car as "fast" or not .. it took forever for people to get over the 0-60mph as being that qualifying stat, now you boyz needs to move beyond the 1/4-mile time and look into other stats that prove the performance of a car...

Word to your motherz!
