Headache w/3.5 break-in drive

Where do I begin, well lets just say.....

Torque Convertor, Torque Convertor, Torque Convertor....The devil has visited me.

During the static stall test, a transient stall speed of 3300RPM is achieved. This is normal and is about 800-1000RPM improvement over stock. Ok, now the roadtest, 3 miles and the check engine light comes on...P0700/P0740 set....Torque convertor lock-up failure (this was apparent on the test drive as well). Trouble shoot the circuit with no abnormalities. Apparently the L10 modification has rendered the lock-up mechanism in the convertor housing inoperative. What a ***** to pull the unit back out. Now I have to freight the convertor back to NJ to fix it.

The trouble also causes a VSA fault (83-1) for ECU rationality failure as the VSA sees a gear ratio variation in the trans data stream vs wheel speed. This leads to the ECU going into limp mode and the trans short shifting at 4900RPM.

This article was to remind all of you that performance comes at more than $$$$, it can directly affect your sanity....lets hope that L10 is gracious about fixing the problem.

Is sad, but hopefully you will have it soon, so I can test drive it.

I was there when this car was turn on for the first time after the 3.5 upgrade. The sound of the engine is awesome and the engine was very smooth. I can't wait to get my hands on a TL-Sx very very nice.

mchtypeS,

How do you like the CL-SX?

How much did you pay for all the upgrade? especially the 3.5 liter?

How fast is it?

Any problems?
