That's great, man. You should be very proud of how well you've done for yourself at such a young age. Keep it up, and congrats on getting married next year!

LOL!! That's what I'm figuring. The good news is she has a great job too, so that should help (hopefully)!!

I look at a vehicle and say "What's it worth down the road?" The TL has held it's value well so that's a big plus.
Holding value is relative though. If you paid 30k for yours the day they were released and I waited and paid 28k then I'm the smarter consumer. You just threw away $2,000! How is that reasonable on ANY level?
The point is well taken (and a good one), but it's all a matter of perception my friend. If I pay $30k in March, and you pay $28k in July, sure, you save $2k, but I've had it and been able to enjoy it longer. If I have the money, do you think it matters about the $2k? I got it when I wanted it. This argument can be made with anything from cars to computers to VCRs. If you bought a VCR today, you can get a good one for under $75. Does that mean you're smarter then me b/c I bought mine 3 years ago and paid $150? I don't think so. I'm just making a point here. I will not be one of the guys paying MSRP b/c I am waiting until the summer and I've already talked to my dealer about this ....

It's definately the way to go, but I put too many miles on (about 60-70 a day M-F), so I finance it. We'll see what happens down the road, but for now I guess I'll just have to keep buying, selling and buying again!!

I also like having a new one every couple of years. You know what I'm going to do when the new TL comes out in 2-3 years? Probably trade in my 2002 TL-S for it, if I like it enough.

Can you offer any specifics on why you won't lease again. I usually wouldn't, but with the high resale value on the Acura, I am considering it.

As for the not understanding part.... Personally, I like cars. That's why I'm on these boards. I also like having a new one every couple of years. I'm going from a CL to a TL, but even if I was already in a TL like most of these guys, I'd still probably trade up. I work to make money. Thus I get to spend it on whatever I want. With a wedding and house coming next year, this probably will be my last new car for a little while, so why not go for it?
