Smile Has anyone used this site for parts?

carpartsshed.com

I was looking for a replacement hood for my 99 tl and I came across this site. the prices I am seeing are much lower than what I have seen elsewhere so I was wondering if any one knows if this is a legit site and if so, how good are the parts they are selling?

Thank you

Have ya tried your local auto recycling salvage yards ?

"OEM" factory stuff is much better quality and will fit perfectly. Sometimes, the el cheapo "repo knock-off" body parts don't always align properly.

good advice, I hadn't thought to try that as I just assumed any body parts from a junkyard would be to messed up and not worth the trouble.

if you want to get non-oem parts, i'd go rockauto.com. i've ordered a few parts from them and shipping is quick and best prices i could find.

nothing will fit better than oem though, especially body parts

With the age of our 2nd Gens and the tranny issues, the chances are good to find a clean used hood at a salvage yard. If a car was rear-ended, the front clip would be good.

Just keep in mind that the '99>'01 TL hoods are not interchangeable with the newer styled '02>'03 models. The hoods will fit, but you would need both front fenders, the bumper and headlamp assemblies to update the earlier TL's to the newer look.

If you could find the exact same color....it would be a nice mod to refresh the appearance !!!
