Well the throttle body is on and I'm going to port my intake manifold opening this weekend or next. So the next weak link is the cold air intake.

Has anyone tried to test fit a TypeS CAI onto a 99TLP? I realize it's going to be short at the TB end because of the lack of a VSA unit, but that is easily taken care of.

Just wanted to make sure the mounting bracket at the bend matches up with the one from the TLP. Same with the one at the bottom by the filter.

I'm thinking there might be a difference between the 99TLP and the 00-03TLP.

Anyone?

What about trying one from an 03 CL-S 6 Speed??

It would give you the length you need, and should be generally the same

Hey Brett,

Do you know anyone on the CL board with a 6-speed with the CAI in Joisey? I don't feel like ordering it only to find out it doesn't fit.

Hmmm, not sure if this would work or not. Shape is a little different and there's not mounting bracket up top like the TLP is.

The more I look at it, maybe if I cut it right after the right angle bend and reverse the bottom piece it might fit perfectly. Oh decision decision....

Eveyone I know with a 6 Speed in this area has a Icebox.

You could always try and find one used, and just sell it if it doesn't work

I guess it may be easier to just extend a Type S intake for a TL since it will probably fit better.
