i just installed one about 2 weeks ago now. easy enough to do, but make sure you have 12 feet of hose to do it with. any less is pushing it. i haven't noticed any changes in shifting, but i haven't been pushing the car too hard either. for me it's more a "peace of mind" issue since i plan on doing some upgrades soon.

if you plan on doing this yourself, this is the thread i used and found it very helpful. you can also try this one too. also a great writeup.

let me know if you have any other questions.

That is my old write up when I had a CL-S. This is Silverbullet. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I am in the process of getting a new car by the end of this year and will most likely end up with a 05-06 TL.

What about that oil jet kit from the 2nd gear campaign? Does that take away the need for a tranny cooler?

Plus you don't 'need' a tranny cooler.

It's always good to have a tranny cooler anyways. Better safe than sorry.

Since a cooler does not prevent the tranny from failing, why would someone be 'sorry' for not installing one?
