Its down.

A few months ago I was checking the value (kbb), and it was somewhere in the 8 grand range for good condition. Now just a couple months later it has follow into the 6 grand range. I guess this makes it official that I am keeping my car till it dies.

I shouldn't be too surprised given all the factors but its still a bummer.

the 02-03 tl-s seems to be doing a better job of keeping value
hopefully mine wont drop any time soon but it shouldn't matter since i plan on driving this car to the ground anyway.

I knew it was going to happen just seeing it was sort of a slap in the face.

While it isnt a good deal for us, people who do want to purchase a TL are loving it. I bought my second TL in June 2008 I picked it up for 5 900 through a dealership. The car had 120 000 miles (200 000km) It's a 2000 SSM.

I'm currenty working out a deal with my local Suzuki dealership who has a really clean 2003 NBP TL with only 40k Miles, (65 000KM). Who is selling it for a sticker price of $11 995. They are offering me 4k for my trade in (2000TL SSM 120k miles).

For an 03 NBP in mint condition $11 995 seems like an amazing price to me with only 40 000 miles.

I don't know about you guys but I still look at my TL like it was brand new regardless of how much it's worth today I still look at it as if it was still worth alot more than it is today. I'm also in Montreal, Canada I'm assuming the prices of Tl's here are a bit more exepnsive rather than in the US??

I don't care if it's worth $5, I'm keeping it till it's not worth driving anymore. Buying a brand new car in 2016 and I'll probably keep the TL as my daily driver.

umm...why? diesel is more expensive than gas. and relatively more expensive to maintain the new urea injected systems

This looks like a good place to post a price check!

I just sealed the deal today on a 2000 TL (Nighthawk Black with the Tan Interior, non-Navi), 89,000 miles, one owner car - great condition, new tires and battery, etc. - $6300. Is this a good price? It seems that these 2nd-gen TL prices are all over the map, being a transitional time phasing in the new model. I feel that it's a fair price; its a very nice car with quite a bit of life in it, but I'm curious as to your input.

Thanks!

hmm, i think you could have done a bit better. but then again it also depends on where you live, closer to a bigger city you have more options. but then again, anyone could get lucky and snag a tl for cheap. i got my 99 back in April of 07 for 5,000. but... it had 141,000 miles, no airbags, bunch of dings, you could see it had been lightly hit in the front, bald tires, and failing battery. so i think i def lost out on that. this august tho, the tranny on it died, so i bought a 2003 TLS (non-navi) with 109k miles for $8200. the owner was moving to Canada and couldnt bring it along.

so yea.. i love this car, def a keeper. it just looks so much better then 90% of the cars on the road. and once i get a lipkit and all that, heheh

These are still nice cars for their age. Style/great engine/nice interior. After riding in several friends cars this week, I was reminded again of how GREAT our cars ride and how quiet they are. They still look great compared to most newer models.

I knew Acurazine would have an answer.

I had already planned to keep the thing for forever so why worry about the value? No sense crying over split milk. Now all I need is 02 taillights.
