Angry It happened to me too!

On my way to the dealership this morning for 26500 mi oil change service, I felt the car shifted weird. I asked them to check when I got there and I was hoping it is not the tranny. Half an hour later, I was told that it was the tranny and they need to replace it!

Mine is 2003 TL-S and it is not part of the extended warranty group. I had the oil jet placed early this year. I'd noticed the car shifted different in the last 2 weeks or so, but it was not consistant. My commute from home to work is about 15 minutes local. The car only has 26500 mi on it! Yes, sometimes I do drive it hard so I guess I can say it is bound to happen. Oh well. add me to the list in the tranny replaced club!

Tranny is covered under powertrain warranty. Even your vin# is not within the extended coverage, the car should be covered under standard powertrain coverage warranty of 5yrs/70k miles.
