Had to do it - bought an icebox

I guess I'll be selling my Injen intake once I get the icebox installed...

I just wanted that near-stock sound back. I also like the idea of having the filter in an easy to access (easy to inspect) location.

I don't think it will fit a non Type S (2 3/4 vs 3 inch intake). But then again - you are pretty innovative...

It's not THAT easy to access the filter .. you need a REALLY long extension on your wrench to get at the bolt... and it's a pain to get the bolt back into the hole after you want to replace the filter cover!!! arrrrrggg

I will miss the sound to some extent. However, I get worried about the condition of the filter because I can't see it.

Here in FL we get a lot of rain and I don't want the oil to run off and have me driving around without knowing and fixing it.

Hey Pete,
I did it as well, I got the cold air intake, did the install myself and your right, not a whole lot about it was 'easy', but I do like it. She wants to spin the tires much easier than before and its pretty quiet.

Have you cleaned and re-oiled your filter yet?
