HA!! No front plate ticket =*(

so my friend got a no front plate ticket yesterday... cuz he parked in a permit zone and got another ticket for it... $35 + $25 for the front plates...

I guess the could really give you a ticket while you're parked... HOWEVER... that dumba** put down a wrong license plate # and a wrong VIN #!!!!!!!!! hahaha.. we were laughing sooooooo hard LOL... cuz it wouldn't been a $60 ticket...

and this is in the Beverly Hills/West Hollywood area.. by the Mercedes dealer .... so better watch out!!

Talking

How stupid is the cop that issue the ticket?? Must be an idiot to right down both the plates and Vin number wrong. Well, this is good news for your friend since he doesn't have pay.

Is your ticket from the police department or parking enforcement?

Do you know how fat that ticket would be? It's better just to take the ticket man than cover the plates up. Especially if it's the CHP or the Gang Unit. You'll be hose man.

Why does it matter? The officer doesn't have anything to track him down with besides what he remembers of the car. Wrong VIN wrong license plate.

Well, the ticket is from the parking enforcement not the PD. It is because if the ticket is from the PD. The officer will call in the license plate info. and the VIN number. In that way, there is no way can put the wrong lic. plate and wrong VIN on the ticket.

Yeah, especially if you're going to park illegally and break the law again by removing your front plates!

Parking in L.A. is a little different than parking in Monterey. Parking tickets are just a cost of doing business here. Sooner or later, you're gonna get one, especially if you're anywhere near the beach.

Sorry, Charlie--I lived in the South Bay for three years and parking enforcement is MUCH stricter up here. My point was, no matter where you live, if you don't break the law then you won't get a ticket.

LOL
I've had my UCLA Alumni license plate holder for a long time now... but none of the cops give a sh*t. They'll just pull you over and give me a ticket. I doubt having such license plate holder on the car has nothing to do with how cops act.

Maybe the cops that pulled you over were not graduated from UCLA.

I once had a friend got pull over by Monterey Park PD. He had his Cal Poly Pomona frame. And teh cop ask him is he an alumni in Cal Poly. He said yes. The cop gave hima break and let him go.

Heck, when I got pulled over for modified suspension and exhaust way back when I had my GS-R, the cop pointed out the fact that he could bust me for vehicle ride height based on how far off the ground the headlights were (they have to be at a minimum height, at least here in California). Anyways, he went around the front to measure my headlights and I thought for sure he would have noticed that I didn't have a front license plate, let alone the mount for it, but he didn't say anything about it.

BTW, he let me go...

My point was, if you don't break the law you won't have any fun AND you will have to park really far from where you want to go.
