guage needles

ok so phee has been helping me A WHOLE LOT lately on my needles, but i got a few more questions. ok so he said i have to put in the needles while im in motion. why cant i just set it to zero?

also, they slide in halfway easily, but then i have to use a good ammount of force to push them the rest of the way in. is that correct?

thats just how i found it to be the easiest man. and u shouldnt have to mash the shit out of them to put them in. just a firm push should do it

Somehow the temp needle got pushed into the needle further. I can pull it out but the force to put it back in repushes it in

pull it out and use eyebrow tweezers to push it into the temp guage. then apply the needle to the metal on the guage after the car has warmed up. (make sre the needle is in the middle of the temp guage because thats operating temp)
