Unhappy Grandmas TL goin in the shop

Well, I picked up my grandmotehrs '02 TL-S last night, she called saying her VSA, Check Engine light were on, the car was not shifting in the proper places, rough idle, etc.

So i dropped of my TL to her and picked hers up. Didnt want her driving it, shes 74, last thing she needs is her car dropping to 2nd gear while shes on the road.

Whats f-cked about this is that even though she got the TL-S in Feb of '02, the car just rolled 8000 miles. At 3000 miles this happened, and i just unplugged the battery and reset the computer and it was fine for a while.

Anyone heard of the tranny goin out so EARLY?

Mine went at 7500 without ANY warning. I'm not surprised it happened that early!

Hey, ever wonder why when you take your TL in to the shop for its new tranny you dont get an Acura loner, but a rental instead? My service manager explained it to me today... Acura is so f-ing pissed at the manufacturer of the garbage trannys, they are making them pay for all the rentals
